JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE PURPOSE

This role main responsibilities are to prevent Incident / Accident, reduce repeated safety violations of ramp operation activities and support operation to comply with SMS requirements by reporting all related reports and data from regular checks identifying trends.

ROLES & RESPONSIBITIES

Operational

  1. Conduct Safety & Quality inspections as per set quality procedures and requirements on operational and maintenance units at the station level.
  2. Detect/ identify potential hazards in the system by conduct frequent evaluation on the operational services against the operation standards and carry out risk assessment suggestions to the line manager.
  3. Report significant issues that are affecting the safety of operations to the line manager.
  4. Prepare all related reports to safety, Accident/ Incident Report; DG Occurrences Reports forward these reports to the line manager for further action while ensuring to update it frequently with required data.
  5. Report any issues affecting Safety of SGS operations and forward those reports to the line manager for further actions to reduce and control operation gaps.
  6. Participate in the investigation of accidents/ incidents at respective stations with the line manager, in accordance with the requirements of the customer airlines.
  7. Apply the corrective safety action plans to help the company achieve major reduction in employee injuries and aircraft damages.
  8. Apply adequate safety guidelines received from Corporate S&Q office and disseminating information to the concerned operational personnel.
  9. Inspect trucks and ramp equipment for safety and efficiency on a random basis.
  10. Participate in the airside safety committee (if any) at the station level and raise the issues related to safety.
  11. Ensure that safety, quality and security controls are in place and being implemented as per the SGS standards as per the requirements and standards of Customer Airlines Policies and State authority requirements.
  12. Report all actual or suspected acts of unlawful interference with the customer airlines aircrafts at the station level to Sr. safety officer.
  13. Remain knowledgeable of current airline industry legislation and health and safety standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Quality Management, Industrial Engineering and Safety Management.

Professional Certifications Required

  • SMS, QMS, Root cause analysis

EXPERIENCE

Years of experience

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of work Experience in relevant fields.
